Brisbane (Mount Gravatt) campus

Located on the edge of Toohey Forest with panoramic views of Brisbane, Mount Gravatt campus is the original site of Griffith College, opened in 1997. Adjacent to Griffith Nathan campus with panoramic views of Brisbane, Mount Gravatt has more than 4,000 students and offers degrees in criminology and criminal justice, education and psychology. It’s also the centre for research into critical social issues, including education and suicide prevention.

Mount Gravatt features a world-class health and fitness hub, with a heated pool, indoor and outdoor recreation areas, fitness centre, 16-court tennis centre, a training oval, plus basketball and netball courts. On-campus accommodation is also available, with catered single rooms in dormitory-style buildings and self-contained flats with single, lockable rooms available.

Library and Study Zones

Our Mount Gravatt Griffith University library spans three levels and comprises a variety of study zones. Students have exclusive access to Griffith College computer labs at Mt Gravatt and Gold Coast campuses.

Transport

Less than 15-minutes’ drive from the centre of Brisbane, our Mount Gravatt campus is easily accessible by car, motorbike and public transport. You can also walk or cycle to the campus, with end-of-trip facilities including showers and bike racks readily available. The closest airport to Mount Gravatt is Brisbane airport.

Public Transport

Public transport is managed by TransLink. The cheapest and easiest way to use light rail, bus and train services is to use a ‘Go Card’ – a rechargeable travel card that provides discounted fares.

Bus

There are a variety of Brisbane buses that service the Griffith University Busway Station at the Mount Gravatt Campus. Logan City Bus Service also operates an inter-campus bus service between Logan and Mount Gravatt campuses. Visit the Translink website to plan your journey. Griffith also runs a regular free shuttle bus service between the Mount Gravatt and Nathan campuses, which departs from the bus stop behind the Auditorium at Mount Gravatt and the Circuit outside the Bray Centre at Nathan.

The inter-campus bus between Nathan and Mount Gravatt campuses is a free service for students. It operates from Monday to Friday, departing Nathan on the hour and half-hour, and quarter past and quarter to the hour from Mount Gravatt.

Train

There are a number of train stations surrounding our Mount Gravatt campus and bus routes to the university that link with these stations. The closest train station to Nathan and Mount Gravatt campus is Salisbury. This station is situated west of both campuses and is about 12 minutes by bus.
